TVS Motor Company has implemented a slight price hike on certain models of their Apache motorcycles, specifically the Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 200 4V. In May, both motorcycles received a minimal increase in price, with the Apache RTR 160 4V now costing an additional ₹700 across all four variants. The range now starts at ₹123,770 for the basic drum brake variant and goes up to ₹132,070 for the Special Edition.
Similarly, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has also seen a slight increase in price and is now available for ₹141,670 to ₹146,720 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
The recent price increase on the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 200 4V has not affected any of the motorcycles’ physical components. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V retains its impressive 159.7 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, four-valve engine that produces 17.4 bhp of power and 14.73 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 5-speed gearbox.
Additionally, the Apache RTR 160 4V is loaded with advanced technology, including a digital instrument console that offers Bluetooth connectivity, a full-LED headlamp, a stylish design, and a single-channel ABS.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, on the other hand, is powered by a 197.75 cc, single-cylinder engine that is both air and oil-cooled. The engine has been tuned to produce 20.54 bhp and 17.25 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Apache 200 also boasts advanced features, including a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument console that offers turn-by-turn navigation, three different ride modes, call and SMS alerts, low-fuel warning, assist function, lean angle mode, lap timer, and more.
Both motorcycles are equipped with riding modes that reduce power output in Rain mode, while the City and Sport modes are designed to be more performance-oriented.
The TVS Apache 4V lineup continues to be among the most well-liked and popular motorcycles in their respective segments. In the segment, the Apache RTR 160 4V competes with motorcycles such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160, Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZS, Suzuki Gixxer, and others. Compared to the Apache RTR 160 2V, the Apache 160 4V is approximately ₹4400 pricier.
In contrast, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V rivals models such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Yamaha FZ25, Hero Xtreme 200S, Honda Hornet 2.0, and Yamaha MT-15 in its segment.
